Wizard Works Magic!
I had a look at all the reviews on this and other sites. Seems like somebody has it in for these folks on Weblocal (competitor maybe?). My experience was very positive and they were extremely helpful. I was told by one of the staff that they were all licensed opticians, and indeed, they all seemed very professional in their approach to myself and others in the store. It was very busy but i did not feel rushed,
A very pleasant lady explained my prescription in detail and laid out several interesting options in filling it.She picked me out some great frames (made in U.K. ) which suited me perfectly.
I got two pairs of progressive bifocal Hi-Definition glasses for just under $400.00 and they worked terrific right off the bat. I have not had the need for after-service yet, but my co-worker has used Wizard for years and never had a problem, so I am confident that they will look after me properly. I would use them again without hesitation.
Poor Customer Service
If you don't have any problem with the glasses that they make for you, then the price is right and you will probably be pleased. However, if you have a problem with the glasses you will not be treated very well by the short older man who works there. I found him to be arrogant, condescending and downright rude. When things go wrong it is somebody else' fault. At one point during the last and final visit (thank God!) he challenged me to tell him what he said that was rude. You would never win a fight with this man and after dealing with him I felt intimidated and very stressed.
After 1 change to the first pair of lenses, it was clear, after a lecture, that it was me not the glasses. I went back to my optometrist who confirmed that the prescription was correct. Wizard redid the glasses again and I finally got a pair of glasses I could see with. The whole experience was quite painful.
There are lots more details but to make a long story short I would never go there again.
Service?! = Nil
I met the most petulant man in my life at Wizard Optical today! I'm stunned and feel side blinded by this man yelling at me ,while asking what the problem is,and asking if I don't trust them, for simply asking him, for a receipt of my purchase.Then he would ignore me when I attempted to answer him. 11/2 months waiting for the glasses as well!Far too long. I've never been treated so rudely and I'm sure more of this abusive behaviour is in store should anything go wrong with the glasses! I sure wish I read these comments before choosing to trust Wizard Optical! My frustration lead me here, so my advice folks ,is to go anywhere else other than Wizard Optical if you want even an iota of service,without the bellowing. Wow !( -5 Stars)

Good place for us students. Lots of cool styles and great prices. They didn't force a pile of expensive junk on me but gave me a special deal on "Clear Coating" anyway, since I do tons of computer work. Shared a double deal with my girlfriend..now she thinks I 'm really smart!
