The Upstairs Jazz Bar, decidedly down a few steps from the street, has been hosting live jazz music nightly for years. Big names are infrequent, but the groups are more than competent. Wonderful, intimate jazz club, which serves good food. We went along without a reservation on a Wednesday night & were lucky enough to get the last table.
Great musicians, very relaxed & friendly.
Excellent & discrete service, which does not spoil your enjoyment of the music.

The setting is a quintessential jazz club, but the food was so much better than we expected.
the setting was intimate and romantic. We were able to sit in the back of the room with an excellent view of the stage.
We both had the filet which was cooked to perfection with just the right amount of black pepper on...

I reserved in advance so that I could be close the the music. Everything was so wonderful. The service was quick and very friendly. I enjoyed the fried clamari with the creamy garlic sauce.
