Pricey but well worth it, especially when the complimentary breakfast is factored in. Expensive parking ($28) which can be circumvented by storing the car in a public parking lot ($11:00 per day) and then moving it onto the street after 6:00 pm when the parking is free. My husband had never been to Victoria, so I wanted to make our trip special. There were no rooms available at the Empress, so I researched other nearby hotels and found the Magnolia. I am so glad I did! The Magnolia is wonderfully located, but quiet and easy to access.

I was so torn when deciding where to stay in Victoria. I finally opted for the Magnolia Hotel over the Fairmont Empress and I am happy that I did. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location could not have been better. We walked the entire city. The room was nice and the bed was super comfortable.
The only complaint I have is regarding the wifi. Cellular packages are expensive in Canada...
