Close to home and fresh
To have a sushi place like this so close to home is pretty sweet. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a friendly host and a contemporary atmosphere. It was impeccably clean. I found the dragon rolls to be fresh and tasty assembled in a beautiful presentation. My only problem was ordering too many things and overeating! lol
A Real Little Japanese Restaurant
I really love this place. The Japanese cook designed loads Japanese meals with fish and vegetables. They are perfect mix with rice. It is different from other Japanese restaurant, they do not only have sushi, but also loads real Japanese meals. Very freshly prepared like in Japan. I have to say that Japanese people have the best service..very polite and gentle..i highly recommend this place and i will definitely go there again.

Run don't walk to this place
July 14, 2014Only a few minutes walk from home so we go here, a lot. Friendly, welcoming owner/chef. Comfortable surroundings, no glitz. Extensive menu of sushi, nigiri, sashimi, bento boxes, udons and appetizers. Very fresh fish, artful presentation. The chef is highly skilled and competent. Prices can't be beat, either. The place for sushi in New West!

March 17, 2014Fast service and good food. I liked the prawns and salmon sushimi. Location is in close proximity to the sky train, and walking distance from the Quayside Inn.

January 12, 2014It is the best Japanese food I ever had in town! I have to say I really like sushi cuz its fresh and very healthy compare to high calorie meals. The food in Sushi Koharu is very fresh and tasty. The price is cheap for that good quality food and compare to loads expensive Japanese restaurants, I definitely recommend this... more
