Worst Experience Ever :(

I had really high hopes going into this store as they are listed as the largest bridal boutique in Victoria and they carried several designers that I liked based on my online research. When I arrived at my appointment, I quickly learned how poor their actual selection was. They offer a small variety of samples from each designer. The styles were all so similar it was very hard to find something unique & the sales lady assisting me could not seem less interested in helping me find a gown that I was happy with. I managed to scrape together about 5 dresses that I didn't really like to try on and they were all filthy. The sweat stains in some were so bad I literally cringed. Some of the gowns were damaged in ways that affected how they actually looked on, ie. missing privacy panels in the back, missing snaps to hold sashes or other decorative pieces in place. The sales lady helping me did not do much to offer any expertise, nor did she seem to even care about finding me something even remotely similar to what I wanted. I finally found a dress that I was happy and comfortable in (my MOH scoured the racks for me while I was in the fitting room trying to justify my tastes and preferences to the sales lady who was trying to push dresses that I was not interested or comfortable in on me). I had my measurements done and was going over the fitting agreement. The sales lady (who, at this point had put me on a countdown to her next appointment and was really rushing me) used zero tact or discretion at all and stated my dress size and measurements repeatedly in a very loud voice in a packed store. When I asked her to not shout my dress size and measurements out her response was "who cares, they are only numbers". I was mortified and people were looking. We then requested her assistance in helping us with some bridesmaids selections. She, again, reminded us that she had another appointment and that we were on A time limit. When one of my bridesmaids, who is expecting a baby and due a month before my wedding, was going to try on a couple of dresses, the sales lady was very argumentative and rude and treated her preferences and concerns as indifferently as mine when I was trying on my gowns. She passed us off to a manager (who was professional, knowledgeable and helpful, I wish I had been paired with her from the beginning). The manager found us a space to view bridesmaids dress catalogues and fabric swatches, listened to our concerns and requests and found us a collection of bridesmaids dresses that suited our needs. This helpful manager was the only reason this store gets even one star from me. I went there feeling nervous already, but with an open mind. I had ZERO budgetary restrictions (and a very large bridal party) and made this very clear, not that it should matter. This should have been an exciting, once in a lifetime experience that I could enjoy with my friends and family and I left feeling exhausted, sad and disappointed. Even if I go with the gown I chose at Shades of White, I have decided to purchase it, my bridesmaids (all 9 of them!), mother, mother-in-law and flower girl dresses elsewhere. Thank you to the manager who was helpful for the last half hour or so of a very bad experience, but the thought of going back into that store is upsetting, to say the least :(
