This mall has the best food court in the city. Lots of local food home cooked food.
The mall has certainly shrunk over the years but these days it is busy with shoppers and foot traffic. The food court offers a great selection of different fare at very good prices, including Lebanese, Indian, Korean, Japanese and Turkish (as well as KFC and A&W.) For business folk, it's also good to have things like the hair salon and tailor shop handy under one roof, all accessible by pedway.
A good place to shop downtown while I am work. All the essentials.
As previously stated, there are not much stores in this mall; but the food court is the main attraction. There is a large selection of all kinds of food; and there is seating for the huge daily lunch hour rush. Definitely a great and convenient location for the downtown area; but do not expect to spend hours in this "mall" on a shopping spree.
Tony is right, there aren't many stores but there is a good selection of food.
My fav is the Chinese food. Mainly because of the service and consistent food. The couple that run it are very friendly and I'm always greeted with "Hello Mr Jay!! Mr Jay special?"...and they always offer their daily newspaper to me to read while I eat.

Unlike Jay and Tony, I don't go to Scotia Square specifically to eat (although I've been known to grab a takeout from Mamma Gratti's); but I do go there for a few shops that will save me a bus trip to the bigger malls further away, such as Reitman's (ladies clothing). Located downtown, the Scotia Square Mall has an eclectic mix of stores, including clothing stores, a deli, furniture shops, jewelry stores, sports shops and dollar stores. Eateries and pubs are also found within this mega complex. Pedestrian walkways conveniently link this shopping mall to many hotels and major entertainment areas, including the Halifax Metro Centre and the Casino Nova Scotia.
