RPM and 1st line investors Profiteering and Uncaring

This company has recently taken over the management on the apt building where I have been a tenant for over ten years. They seem to have no soul giving eviction notices to most of the tenants here for no other reason than to empty the suites so they can rent them out for more money. There should be a law against this type of thing happening . What point is there in putting limits on rent increases when all you have to do is purchase a rental property and bully the tenants into leaving their homes or coerce them into having to move by fabricating reasons or hiring bullies to make you feel uncomfortable in what used to be your home. Thank you R.P.M. for reminding this senior of just how uncaring some people can be. I am happy to know that you will not be receiving any more of my rental payments and I can only warn any one who is contemplating renting from this company to be very careful as they are by far the worst at what they do and time will see this company suffering for their actions. I am sorry but I am hurt and upset by their callousness

Unsatisfactory Management Irresponsible Staff

One of the many unpleasant experiences I've had with them just happened last week. I paid for my September rent on time, and the payment went through and appeared in my bank account as usual on the 4th, yet out of nowhere I received a notification letter indicating that I didn't pay for my rent and that they wanted to charge me approximately $100 as a fine. It took me a few attempts to get hold of their accounting staff and the staff claimed that my cheque did not get to their dept. on time, which still didn't explain why the payment went through my bank account. Do they even verify first before they issue their notification letter to their tenants? In the end I did not even receive a sincere apology from them.

Two words: Pet friendly

I am a present tenant with Royal Providence Management. I am sorry the other reviewers apparently had a bad experience. I have lived in Vancouver since 1988, rented and leased several homes and I have never been happier anywhere than I am here. That is not to say there are no problems in the building, but I can attest that they do respond promptly to issues. I have yet to see a bed bug on my premises, and believe me, I looked for them. I adore my neighborhood, the building could not be better situated to fit my many lifestyle needs. My suite is spacious, bright, cheery and clean. My landlady is courteous, friendly and helpful. As for lost souls wandering the corridors, I have been here nearly a year and I have never seen such a phenomenon. Only one mentally challenged tenant has come to my attention during this time and her overtures were just plain sad, they were not a threat, nor have they diminished my thorough enjoyment of living in what is essentially a well managed, happy, PET FRIENDLY building. I mentioned it to my landlady, and she asked said tenant to simply leave me alone, end of story. Mentally challenged people have to live somewhere, and if they do not disrupt our lives, what business is it of ours? A little tolerance goes a long way! I love the fact that my building has people from all walks of life co-existing peaceably, even congenially, with one another. Unlike other East Vancouver buildings, it is not boisterous and problem-ridden. If you have a cat or a small dog you are welcome here. I have had slumlords before, believe me, and Royal Providence Management does not qualify for that epithet. I would be perfectly happy to remain a tenant of this building for as long as I continue to live in the area. And did I mention PET FRIENDLY?
