An awesome place but slow service

The Pepperwood Bistro is a really cool restaurant: the décor and atmosphere are cozy but stylish, they have a great wine list and beer selection (including beer from their own micro brewery, which you can see inside the restaurant), funky artwork on the walls, private washrooms, and even live music on Saturday nights. The party I went with included quite a few people, but we did have reservations and most of us were kind of disappointed with the service. At one point during the night our waitress actually disappeared for a while, and we were unable to get any service at all. The menu was quite extensive and they offer a lot of interesting food, but they do not have much in the way of food alternatives to accommodate different dietary requirements. Overall though, it was a great time and I would definitely go back there again.

Stopped in for a Saturday lunch, and was not disappointed. Very attentive server and some of the best food my wife and I have had in a long time. They have reduced their in house brew down to just a couple, which is a little disappointing, and their wine was a little on the pricey side, but overall great experience. Will be back.

Fairly lively, lots of people passing by in Lakeshore. Menu was increased with taste of Burlington in effect. My party ordered fish and chips, chicken crunch sandwich and Thai salad. The salad was a little... more

Three-and-a-half stars (but there are no half-stars)

We've dined here a number of times, and overall it's been a decent experience. Last night we had enjoyed a quick dinner.

My daughter had the shrimp and clam risotto and said it was over-salted; my son-in-law had the gnocchi and said it was "just okay". I had the Heritage Blend salad with Port Vinaigrette --- it's delicious! Also, the... more
