Great little "greasy spoon" breakfast joint. If that's what you're looking for, this is the place!

Sometimes nothing but an inexpensive motor inn or motel will do, and that's where Paul's comes in. It's been around for ages, it's very well maintained, and it's within a 15-minute walking distance to downtown. The rooms are pleasant for what they are and much nicer than those in many motel chains. The staff here is friendly and helpful, and there's an above-average restaurant. Clean and... more

nice place to stay

We needed a reasonable place to sleep close to the inner harbor -
It was clean ,reasonable priced ,easy to book .
Unfortually the Air Condition was out of service and we had a very hot night .
The couryard outside gave the hotel a nice character .

Dirty and no hot water
August 11, 2014Not only did the room have an overall feel of dirtiness, but we also had no hot water for showers! Dust was thick everywhere, the coffee/tea basket had not been replenished (there was used sugar packets in the basket still!), the pillows were flat and small and a large spider occupied the room with us. Nooooo... Air conditioning
August 11, 2014Temperatures were at 30C (90F) and assumed A/C was in the room but no it wasn't and almost checked out due to extreme heat in room. Sink and bathtub both were clogged. Get what you pay for. Restaurant was very good and average priced. Walk to downtown/Chinatown and inner harbour.
