Went there with a few friends and waited 50 minutes to finally give the waitress our order. She saw us, but kept promising us that she would be back. We were there for lunch and got the food after lunch was over. Never go back.
Having worked above the Triangle for years, I appreciate the character, pace and people. When asked where to go for a truly 'Halifax' experience, this is where I inevitably direct them.
Oh goodness, I LOVE this place. From the minute I walk in to the time I leave, it's a very welcoming, comfortable pub.
Wish more were like this. Music's usually great too.
If you can get in when there is live music you will have a great time. A busy spot, it can get quite loud. This is one of my friend Jim's favourite places for pub grub. I've only been once but enjoyed my experience. Located close to the waterfront this is a spacious pub with classic dark oak finishes. Ate here for lunch a couple of days ago and was pleasantly surprised. We had a lamb burger (13.00 Canadian dollars), Newfoundland fish cakes (13.00), cup of chowder (2.00) which was an extra.
