parking tokens

i was to see my doctor in the same building. When I finished, I realized I had no change for the parking. I went into the pharmacy to get change and the lady working there wouldn't give me any unless I boughty something. I offered to buy a token so i could get out of the parking lot, but she refused me. Said I would have to wait until someone came in to buy something so she would have a good reason to open the cash registar. I stepped aside and let the young fellow go next. He wanted change or a token also. She refused him as well. I stepped in and offered to buy loto tickets with my bank card. Came to $6.00. She then said i still couldn't have change or a token. I had to buy something worth $10.00 with my bank card. They young fellow said got upset and said it was a scam to get people to purchase something in the store. She gave in and gave us change to get out of the parking lot. We could have just drove over the curb and be done with it, but that would be breaking the law. I usually do purchase items in the store, but was in a hurry today. From now on I will make sure I have the proper change and will never go to moffats again. I don't know how you can hold people kidnap over something so silly. you should have a change machine in the building if you don't want to deal with the public. But then, you wouldn't have people entering your store to get change and maybe brouse around and buy something while they are there.
