Last change to try the delicious food as the bistro is closing. Alain Raye has been unable to pay his staff, and many have left, filing Labour Standards claims, so he is filing for bankruptcy. Even the chef left, after his waitress wife was fired for fighting with the Alain's bartender girlfriend, and he was not paid.

How there could be better French food than this; I don't know. The chef owner is in the kitchen you walk past to a patio with views of the ocean and Vancouver Island. We went twice this month and had the same thing both times they were so good; beef bourguignon and prawns ravioli with a modestly priced French wine... more
We went on a coupon deal and were seated promptly. The menu offers many choices of a more traditional French nature. The server explained clearly what our choices would be - there were no restrictions. We ordered the Moules, Beef Bourguinion, Pork with Apples and ended with the warm dark chocolate tart.
