Very good store only.......
I'm sure they're very good to deal with when you personally shop for items at their physical location. But all bets are off when you order online from them like I did. Instead of shipping me a brand new shrinkwrapped Aqua Clear filter, they switched it with an open boxed, then bubble wrapped piece of *$#*. It wouldn't be so bad it the item was functional, but now I have to pay shipping to ship it back to them so they can have a look, and it's not even guaranteed I'm gonna get a refund, and to make it all worse, I still have to pay a 20% redstocking fee on top of that. If I known these so-called honest business people would be sneaky like this, I would have just ordered locally in my area instead of going through this b@!%!**t. 2 WORDS: BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!! I'd pick zero stars or even negative if I had the choice, but my one star should read no or minus star.
Very professional and serious marine vendor
J&L Aquatics is a specialty saltwater store. Some equipment they sell can be used on fresh water tanks but all livestock is marine. The staff are all very knowledgeable, they can answer pretty much any question I can throw at them. They sell quality livestock and low to very high end equipment. Their coral and invert tanks are unrivaled, they always have a good selection of everything, even between livestock shipments. Their equipment showroom is small, so window shopping is difficult but they have a really easy to use and ultra detailed php storefront at www.jlaquatics.com which lists everything they sell and you can order online. This store is truly one of my most favourite places to visit, hands down.

I'd previously purchased AquaRay items from this seller online.
Almost 2 years later, thankfully within the warranty, my MultiControl 8 unit became defective. Port 7 wasn't working, & after switching cables & testing/re-testing, I knew it was a defective port. Not a huge deal, because it controlled 1/2 of my "moonlights".
I called J&L, & their rep said they no longer carry the item & wasn't...

This place is so fun to go to. I could spend 30 minutes just looking around at all the living odd things! The staff are pretty chill, which I appreciate. Just a ask me if you need help/have questions. Pricing was super reasonable for everything we got (just supplies, nothing living)

I have been to this store for a few times. Fair to say that the price for their fish supplies and food are very competitive. I did a lot of research and believe me their price is good. They do have variety of fishes you can choose from. The reason I gave them 2 stars is because I felt I got somewhat screwed by one of the staff there. I have experience with Freshwater fish and have no knowledge... more
