let us not forget that montreal gets RIDICULOUSLY humid and warm in the summer. which makes perfect sense for havres-aux-glaces to spoon out its incredibly delicious gelato flavors.

dense but smooth, the gelato packs so much flavor in each bite. we opted for their green tea and one of their top picks of alcoholic gelato (all beer related). a wonderful treat while walking through jean talon!

First things first: Havres-Aux-Glaces is *real* no-b@!%!**t gelato, made right there from real ingredients every day. The pistachio flavor comes from *actual*pistachios* and the espresso flavor is made with *real*muthaf@!%!n'*espresso*. You can't cheat and get gelato to taste this way...

I chanced upon this ice-cream & sorbet shop when I was doing my maiden round at Jean Talon Market. I could sense that adrenaline rush in me when it comes to candied stuff and asking myself if I should get a scoop at 9am seems unwarranted.
