Authentic Italian Food
I was surprised to find such authentic Italian food in the city. The preparations were authentic and so were the ingredients. The garnishes including olive oil and olives were liberal, not stingy. The herbs were also fresh and aromatic. The service is friendly and the ambiance is pleasant.

What a cool little spot! I came in here with my friend Deirdre for a celebratory lunch, as she's heading to military boot camp this week, and it was the perfect lunch spot. Our server, Kristen (or Kirsten - arg!) was lovely, and led us to two bistro tables on their little patio (there's only about 4 tables out there).

The best thing about Fresco is the quality of their ingredients. The vegetables in particular are prepared wonderfully, are full of flavour, and are quite plentiful. Small menu, great food, very attentive service. Also, the setting is a little more spacious than many of the new trendy restaurants, where they attempt to pack in as many people as possible. My wife and I and two friends were going to the Brian Doerksen Hope for the Nation Tour in downtown Ottawa. I was given the task to choose a restaurant. I check the internet and found your site. I decided to go to Fresco. We found the food to be excellent and the ambiance was also very nice. I will not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to my friends. Thank You
