Getting a Citizen 13 " TV repaired

I found him in the yellow pages. Instead of being told on the phone in the first place, "this TV is being discontinued on the market and is more expensive for me to fix than for you to buy a new TV altogether" -- he came and charged me CAD 63 for doing not only nothing I hadn't already done or figured out, but was going to charge me extra just to get the part and that it could also take months to get it done and returned back to me. (Also when he showed up, he came with no tools that I would have expected him to carry with him in order to repair the TV). By the time this would be all done, I could have bought a new TV that was "on the market" for about the same price he was going to charge me to get it fixed!!!!! In the meantime, instead of refunding me for services not rendered, I am out now not only a 13 " TV and remote, but am out CAD 63. I would not recommend this business to ANYONE much less someone who has no extra money to throw around. I look at this now as just CAD 63 to take this to the recycle depot.
