Inexpensive for those on a budget
If you're looking for top of the line meat, go to Costco. If you're looking for standard cuts of meat and you're on a budget, Farmer Al's is a good place to go. They have a small selection of produce and some standard grocery items as well.
The staff is friendly and the store is always clean.

I've been going to Farmer Al's for a really long time and get all my meat from him. It's been fabulous everytime. It's a quaint little family-run grocery store with character. I had forgotten to get a few items for dinner and only realized it Thanksgiving Monday. I looked at every grocery store's website in the Toronto & Hamilton areas and guess how many were open? 1...Farmer Al's. Good meat, good service & open when I needed them. Thank GAWD for Farmer Al's.
Garbage!! Health board should look into this place
we bought 4 steaks which were tought as rubber and unable to eat about 60% of the actual cut. Also purchased chicken wings and now to read all these reviews i am not going to chance it as chicken is something i really am picky with, i agree that this place was very poorly taken care of and definatly not up to health code. blood all over the place. meat sections mixed within the whole store. I really am displeased with the whole operation here and am going to make a complain to the health board immediatly as anyone who goes there should.
