Quality, knowledgeable, no frills store.
After searching and searching for a good quality foam mattress at a decent price, somewhere with good customer service.....I kept coming up empty handed. Then I came across Discount Foam from doing an internet search. I am glad I did as I never would have gone into the store otherwise! The outside of the store and the inside might not be too appealing to the eye.....but the quality of the foam they sell and the knowledge and expertise the owner has will far exceed your expectations.
This owner made me feel at ease, even though I took 45 minutes to decide on what level of firmness I wanted buy. I kept rotating between laying on the firm and extra firm bed and the owner helped me when I had questions but didn't constantly hover over me.
Without even having to ask , the owner carried out the mattress to my car (small 2 door I might add!) and got the mattress loaded in and ready to go home.
Come here first - they are truly the best!
Have been going to Discount Foam for all my foam needssince the mid-nineties. At the time I had little money, was going back to university and needed a decent bed. I was referred there by a friend and I haven't looked back since!
Jon (the owner) and Sean (the manager) are two of the most knowlegeable people I know when it comes to foam. One of the reasons I liked this place so much and have kept coming back is not so much that their prices are so competitive, but they really won't sell you something you don't need, or could by from them for less. They value their customers, and it shows in the way they treat them.
A family owned business (something else I always like to support) for over 30 years, Discount Foam - I've learned from going in there over the years - can pretty much cut any kind of foam to any size for all kinds of needs. I have seen people go in there for boat, rv, camper cushions and cover replacements, to simple projects for people who want to fix their day beds, or chairs and need replacement foam. I have replaced foam in my chairs, couch, have had two beds and corrugated foam toppers and most people think my bed is as comfy as a bed worth $1000. If you're looking for something because you need something for post surgery - like a hip replacement - they have that too and a lot more.
While foam isn't as cheap as it used to be because of the oil inudstry prices sky rocketing - they are the place to go for memory and regular foam (all kinds - and there are lots) if you want to get the best deal. No gimmicks, no slick sales. Just the facts mixed with some friendliness.
They don't like to brag, but I do know they supply restaurants, hospitals - give discounts to people who work in the health care industry (OT's) and have helped countless organizations. - even a bunch housing volunteers for the Olympics.
You want to go somewhere where you know you won't get ripped off and where you can trust the people you're talking to to not feed you a line? This is the place. When ya find a good thing - you like to tell everyone you know - hence my long diatribe here! Their store doesn't look glamourous - but that's cause they try to pass the savings on to the customer.
All my friends who have gone there have been super happy and keep going back. I think their number of returning customers speaks to the integrity of their business.

First shopped at Discount Foam in the early 1990's when I was looking for a decent quality cheap bed. Since then I have returned for many other items, as their service, product knowledge, and quality is exceptional.
