Chapters has always been a favourite store for me to visit. They have an extensive selection of hard-to-find horror novels. They also have a large selection of magazines of different cultures and languages and friendly staff. Although recognized as chain of booksellers, Chapters has become an institution for very select readers looking for unique books and people who know them. I recommend them for their experienced staff and selection of great reading material.
Chapters chain bookstores stock current titles but seem to be phasing out books in favor of -- what else? -- gifts and gewgaws.
When I ask a question about ANY book here, the answer is usually " I don't know, followed by, have you checked online, we can special order it" .. "Thanks, I don't need to wait a month and pay extra for shipping and.. " I have never found a book that I want here when I want it.
For such a huge store... Just bad...

I live really close to this particular location, so on any given day when I'm bored I will go to Starbucks and browse around. I'm always impressed with how friendly the staff at this location is and how much STUFF they have for a bookstore. On rainy days when my son feels cooped in ,we head on over here since the updated children's area is pretty fantastic with toys to try and it's pretty safe... more
