This is now, May 2009. Last April we purchased laminate for the living room, vinyl rock tile for the kitchen,, What started out to be less than 5,000, mushroomed to over 7,000. when the laminate that we ordered wasnt in stock 'John', made an executive decision and replace it with a very ugly , terrible looking laminate. He begrugenly had his guys remove it, and replace it with another product. To add to this, I mentioned to 'John' that there was a rise in the carpet and if it would be a problem.. 'John' said no problem, they would sand it, and smooth it down, I thought that would be a lot of sanding, and as a result a 1 fool hole resulted. 'John' said, site unseen that the installers would put the laminate over it,, I told 'John' that it was a hole you could put your foot through.. when the installers refused to put the laminate in,,'John' was shocked to the size of the hole, and said that there must have been water damage, and that the wood was rotten. which was untrue. We replace the sheeting. they installed new laminate, but had to level, as the floor was quite uneven. so the installers nailed the 'floating laminate to keep it from clicking when you walked on it. 'John' said that it wouldnt be a problem. when the job was completed, 'John' said the boss had him under the gun and wanted to be paid pronto, I then delivered the difference. paid in full, Flash ahead to today. there are now spaces bewteen the end boards, and in some cases 1/8" space,, very hard to keep dirt out.
I have phoned 'John', to get someone to fix it... so far,, no return call, and the floor.....still a mess... i would never recommend ashley fine floors/carpet world, with 'John' to anyone....

Vinyl flooring
January 31, 2012We purchased vinyl flooring from Carpet World in 2007. I am very happy with the product and the service we got from the staff. I would shop there again, staff were friendly and helpful.
