In a city brimming with accomplished French restaurants, this is a personal favorite. The dining rooms run through the ground floors of two old row houses, with rich decorative details suggestive of the namesake's era. Hubba Hubba!!! When I dig into my memory bank and recall Restaurant Bonaparte, two things comes to mind.
The Sirloin Steak. Never, Have I Ever, had a sirloin steak cooked to such perfection. Typically sirloin is not my go-to cut of steak but alas, Bonaparte showcases the sirloin like never before. Juicy and tender everything you want in a bite of steak is achieved!! Seasoned to perfection.

We stayed in an airbnb property in the Old Port and chose this lovely restaurant just 2 blocks from our apartment--so glad we did! Wonderful menu which appeals to any preference--the Dover Sole and Beef Filet were exceptionally good. My husband swears he hates squash but the squash puree with orange which came with his filet was in his words, 'superb'. Everything we ordered was perfectly... more

Yummy! The best beef tartare I have ever had and the beef mignon is tender. The server qualities are professional and a must visit stop for French cuisine when visiting Montréal.

Nous étions quatre, tous ont adoré leur repas. Les prix sont haut mais c'est ce type d'endroit ... Le service est excellent. attention lorsqu'il y a une groupe le bruit se répand facilement. Bernard D. Bref, c'est mon avis et je le partage !
