I visit this bookstore each time I visit Granville island. Situated in the lovely setting by the bay, it's a great place to stop and explore. It's pretty small, but it has a pretty great selection and I've bought a few things from here. It's a used bookstore, so it's pretty easy to find something interesting. Pretty cool place.

I generally get overwhelmed with large bookstores and although this is small and has medium selection, what they do have are generally titles that someone would actually be of interest in. Oh my. Visiting Blackberrry Books was like seeing a friend who's fallen on hard times. When I was younger, I spent a lot of time at Granville Island and Blackberry was a big, cheerful store that even used the windowsills for displaying books (it was L-shaped, reaching into the space now occupied by a craft store). I loved browsing there, the quirky cozy, indie bookstore vibe.
