It is so nice to finally have a reproduction service in Saskatoon other than the U of S Veterinary College, not only does Acada Vet Clinic have in house progesterone testing with the most up too date equipent, it is available 365 days a year, unlike the Vet College who only operate Monday through Saturday and not on holidays and we all know how critical progesterone testing is in determining the day to breed. Timing is everything. They practice the most up to date techniques including tran cervical insemination of frozen semen which doesn't require the usual sergical procedure. They have a 90% conception rate which is awsome. They also, to the best of my knowledge, have the only frozen semen storage tank in the city besides the Vet College who only alow storage of semen they collect. Can't wait to see the puppies we will create in the future.
They have some of the most up to date equipment and techniques available to veterinary medicine today.Information on these and all kinds of other neat stuff can be found on their we site www.acadiavetclinic.com.
And most important is the manner they have with their clients. They are wonderful, professional and friendly, they accept the fact that I know my dogs better than anyone and always take that into consideration when making a diagosis. Something I have never experienced before is that the vet I see has always called to check on the patient, and I have had some very serious situations they have pulled my dogs through.

Acadia Vet Clinic is an Excellent Clinic
I have know Dr. Altina Wickstrom DVM, for the past 13 years and have always found her to be professional, thorough and always polite. She always goes the extra mile determining the diagnosis and establishing the best treatment regime for our dogs. I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Wickstrom's knowledge and skills as a veterinarian and would recommend her and the clinic to everyone. I was somewhat taken aback in reading the negative review about Dr. Wickstrom and this clinic and felt it was necessary to provide a review that provides a truer picture of Dr. Wickstrom from a long term client.

I have known Dr. Altina for 10 years, she is kind, compassionate and very honest. Dr. Altina helped me with my breeding program, she is always availble for breeders and goes the extra mile. I have been a vet tech for the past 22 years and I must say it is unethical and unprofessional for veterinarians to comment on other veterinarians work or decisions. I highly recommend Dr. Altina and Acadia Veterinary Clinic.

Acadia vet has given me the best service as a breeder. Very knowledgable, friendly staff. On call 24/7 when my dog is due to whelp. Probably the best breeder friendly vet I have known. I don't hesitate to recommend this clinic to all of my puppy purchasers and they in turn have been very impressed with the service.
